She is currently making the most of what New York Fashion Week has to offer.
And it seems the excitement of the biannual occasion has rubbed off on Miley Cyrus.
The actress and singer made a bold style choice for an outing in the Big Apple on Thursday.
Stars in stripes: Miley Cyrus certainly turned heads as she left her New York hotel in a striped maxi dress on Thursday
She was sporting a black and white maxi dress with horizontal stripes on the top and vertical stripes on the skirt.
The unusual frock bared the 20-year-old’s shoulders and the stretchy material ensured her slender figure was accentuated.
The former Hannah Montana star showed off the full effect of the dress as she left her New York hotel, slipping on a leather jacket before hopping into an awaiting vehicle.

Showing some skin: The unusual dress, which had both horizontal and vertical stripes, allowed Miley to bare her shoulders
Fans and photographers were waiting
outside the venue to wish Miley, who is engaged to Liam Hemsworth, a
happy Valentine’s Day as she headed on her solo outing.
The 5ft 5in star also gave herself a boost with the help of a pair of black platform ankle boots.
The
previous evening Miley had attended a party to celebrate her cover of
Cosmopolitan magazine, dressed in a flowing white skirt, grey tank top
and Moschino leather jacket.
In fact Wednesday was a very busy for the platinum blonde, who also attended the Rachel Zoe and Marchesa fashion shows.

Miley has revealed that she is considering wearing a Marchesa gown to walk down the aisle at her wedding to Liam.
At the show for the feminine and
romantic brand, Miley told People: ‘[Marchesa] is definitely one of our
options. [They're] amazing.’
But she added: ‘I have so many options of different people who want to be involved in it. I’ll probably have 30 [dresses]!’
The ex-Disney princess is currently gearing up for the release of her fourth studio album.
